Vickie Kallies Lee is from Wisconsin and now resides in East Tennessee. She first attended three years at the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh before transferring to The University of New Mexico in Alburquerque where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts as well as her Master of Arts in Painting and Printmaking. She then earned her graduate degree as a Master of Fine Arts in Painting at Washington State University, Pullman, Washington. Since receiving education, she has been painting and teaching alongside wearing the hats of mother and wife. Her work explores memory and magic including personified animal motifs and the lively world of landscape, home and family. Through a variety of media, Kallies Lee brings to life the way she sees the world in color and texture.
